DLTYP is a not-for-profit drama program for youth aged 9 to 14. The session will run for 10 weeks, meeting on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:30, and on Saturday mornings, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Cost for participants is $5/hr x 4hrs x 10 weeks = $200, plus $5 youth membership for new-comers. This program will emphasize improvisation games and techniques, mime, technical production, and script writing.
The group, with Martha as editor and co-writer, will form a collection of themed stories which will be incorporated, rehearsed and performed on the set created for our season opener. The play will run 60 minutes in length, with one 15 minute intermission.
For class participants who do not wish to perform, there will be mentorship in the areas of props, wardrobe, script assistant, sound and production.
There will be 2 performances: Sunday November 16th, 2pm matinee, and a 7 p.m. evening performance.
